I'm not a mod. Does that mean I can't care or have my own opinions? Can only mods comment on matters of this nature?

See, I'm not selfish.
For starters, you're still ignoring the origianal point of this thread which was Dr Imperial offering to make builds for people. Since he let this thread die it's safe to assume he no longer wants to make builds for people (If he even still plays).

You're right in that you arn't the only one interested in solo farming. 80% of my game-play is solo farming. But what I'm saying is that if you really want a DoA solo sin, this isn't the way to get it. If you make a thread called 'DoA solo sin', everyone who wants that build or has ideas or has a build, will go there. With this thread, most people won't care enough to look at it, as it's really vague. The few that do will see that it was a +1 year old thread that was bumped with a comment that didn't add much to the thread, and stop reading there. And the few that remain, will be very unlikely to have/want a DoA solo sin build.
So you could have 90-100% of your thread being interested in your DoA sin, or 5-10% like it is now. (Note; numbers were made up on the spot)

Because anyone who uses the search function can find it in two seconds (See? THAT is why people tell other people to use search. Why have a build posted in 10 million different places when you only need one? If everyone was just asking for links to things they could have found by using search, it would be harder to find all of the new content under all the people linking to old content.)

Also, if you're insinuating that I'm intimidating people into not asking questions, that's not the case at all. There's nothing wrong with asking questions, but if you want answers you should go about it the right way and not start pointless arguements.

I always thought forums were for discussion. Apparently, there are other posts in this thread that have started to discuss builds. Not yours of course, you seem to be stuck on crusading against old threads.

The argument didn't start until you posted in the thread, completely off topic and trying to de-rail it.

I'll ask questions any way I please, thank you very much. At least until the Patriot Act and/or the FBI says I cannot. I'm pretty sure you don't have that kind of authority. And I'd hate to think that someone on a game forum knows the ONLY right way to posit a question.

So I have an idea for you, unless you actually have something to contribute to the topic at hand, how about you avoid posting? Saying you don't agree with how questions are asked or what people are posting or how makes you look like a forum lawyer, and the more responses you post to that effect just reinforce the notion. Seriously, its kind of sad.

Neither have yours, of course, as you seem to be stuck on me being stuck on this.

Actually, the argument started when someone politely asked you to 'please refrain from ressing dead threads' after you bumped a +1 year old thread with a comment that didn't add to the thread at all. Then you came back with a sarcastic comment.

Oh right, because I totally said you wern't allowed to ask questions like this. Maybe I should have said that there were better ways to ask them, and that if you wanted an answer you should have asked a different way...oh wait...

Oh, we're sharing ideas? Why don't you contribute to this thread (Saying 'DoA sin gogogo!!!' is not a contribution (Because you arn't, well, contributing)) that you are so passionitly defending. You just said a moment ago that you could ask questions how ever you want, but I'm not free to comment on them? I'll comment on posts any way I please, thank you very much. At least until the Patriot Act and/or the FBI says I cannot. I'm pretty sure you don't have that kind of authority.

I see, you just want the last word. How quaint.

Again, who are you, the moderator? What gives you the right to police the forums? Oh that's right, nothing.

No, you should have kept your mouth shut. Simple. Its not your job, duty or obligation to tell others how to post, or educate people on how to ask questions. This is a forum, not English 101.

I contributed to the thread, then you got on my case. Last I checked, you still haven't said anything remotely close to the thread topic, regardless of its age. I have. And you can comment however you please, as long as it doesn't infringe upon another's right. I'm not telling you you cannot comment, I'm simply saying your comments have nothing to do with the topic and are only dragging this out. And since this was started by me and someone ELSE with the sarcasm, you're kind of like that annoying guy who walks around at parties and butts into conversations when you have no idea what's going on.

I realize what I'm doing, defending myself against somebody who's got no ground to stand on and is only making an ass of himself. In addition to dragging the thread he doesn't agree with even further off-topic and making zero useful input. Seriously, are you one of those people who when faced with something they disagree with in the media, say Howard Stern, that instead of simply changing the channel will write in and keep complaining until what offends you is removed? Seriously, its a lot more work telling other people how to think than just getting on with your own life.

I have an idea, how about we end this discussion here and now, so you don't look even worse?

Back on topic, I was wondering if any character can possibly or reliably solo more than one area for DoA gems? I know my sin can reliably farm Torment gems in Gloom, same as an Ele with the Shadowform nuking build, but I'm wondering if anyone has any experience in the other realms? I've seen trappers in Stygian, as well as a necro IIRC, but that's about it.

I could say the same thing to you. What implied that I only wanted the last word, I must ask?

But I return your offer to you. If you'd like you can end this argument by just not replying.

http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...t=Stygian+Veil That's Witte's three man thread. With minor changes of builds you can kill much of all four areas. While not 'soloing', it can be run with 1 player and 2 heros.

[Suffering] [Feast of Corruption] [Signet of Corruption] [Desecrate Enchantments] [Defile Enchantments] [Mindbender] [Dwarven Stability] [Dash]
This is a post EotN-build that farms the first quest of the Veil in HM.

So the best bet seems to be on a 600 monk and a Famine + a smiter.

Pretty obvious. You keep posting challenges.

No, you must have trouble comprehending text. I said that you can and should post, as long as you don't infringe upon the rights of others. Telling others how to post is an infringement of their rights. Yes, I realize I'm telling you how to post, but only so far as to respect others' rights. Irony ftw.

I'd like to end this argument. So its over. Don't reply. Oh noes! I told you what to do, kind of like how you started the whole debacle. Tables are turned.

Quoted because its the first thing you've actually said that's constructive.
